Did you know that composites lockers with improved anti-vandalism are made in SMC?
Johns Manville MultiStar® 264 roving designed for high-performance reinforcement in SMC is used in composites locker doors. SMC (Sheet Moulding Composites) provides following benefits over metal doors:
Improved anti-vandalism
Scratch resistance
In-colored (no painting needed)
Reduced CO2 emissions during the life-time cycle
Corrosion resistance
Sound dampening (especially in schools and public buildings)
Function integration (possible to integrate num-lock systems)
Improved aesthetics.
The locker doors can be used in public buildings, such as airports, train stations, schools and museums.
The European Alliance for SMC BMC is launching the 5th edition of the SMC BMC Design Award.
